Join us for a live debut of an original composition by Timothy Blackmon Jr and James Gardin set to the visuals of the cult hood classic “Fresh.”

Reimagining the original score by Stewart Copeland are Producer/Rapper James Gardin and Composer/Trumpet Tim Blackmon. The duo will perform a live score for the feature film utilizing vocal performance, trumpet, effect pedals, and pads reminiscent of the 90s era of American hip hop subculture.

Fresh 1994

Fresh (Sean Nelson) is a 12-year-old drug dealer navigating a web of poverty, corruption and racial tension in Brooklyn, New York. When his older sister Nichole (N’Bushe Wright) falls under the spell of local kingpin Esteban (Giancarlo Esposito), Fresh calls upon the skills he learned playing chess with his father and speed-chess champion Sam (Samuel L. Jackson) and devises a complex strategy that will free both himself and his loved ones.
