Between the gray buildings of the Roman suburbs, Valeria has been taking care of the historic family food truck. With an alcoholic father and an absent boyfriend, the girl lives her existence invisibly, until a shocking event leads her to start wondering who she really is.

Aminata, a young African woman victim of trafficking and sexual exploitation in Spain, wakes up feeling unwell in the room of the brothel where she is a prisoner. The narration tells the story of Aminata’s evolution in the space of time between one client and the next.

Maggy, a cashier at a gas station in the middle of Berlin, is confronted with everyday sexism, especially at night. When the next customer treats her disrespectfully, she decides to resist. What begins as rebellious fun gets increasingly out of control – at least for the guy.

Tobia, a 9-year-old boy, every afternoon after school goes to the mountain to reach Aurelio, his grandfather, who brings his five sheep to graze every day. The boy and his grandfather will find themselves sharing a moment of frailty that will change the course of events forever.

Fatemeh, a 14-year-old girl with a birthmark on her left breast, is being forced by her father to marry a suitor at such young age. Being dissatisfied with this, she orchestrates a daring action to prevent this early marriage.

Twelve year old violin player Mitka is supposed to execute an attack on several SS officers in the name of a Ukrainian partisan movement. But this attempt will also put his only friend in danger.
