Film Synopsis
MS. PURPLE is about two Asian American siblings, Kasie and Carey, who grew up in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Their mother abandoned them when they were young and they were raised by their single father who is now on his death bed. They both have deep scars left from their upbringing that they are constantly trying to overcome as they struggle to navigate their own lives. This story is about a mending of a relationship between a brother and sister and the regrouping of a family in the final days of their father’s life. Check out Variety’s review of the film here.
