BOOMERANG! A Live Reading

*FREE EVENT*

CCFF and The Robin Theatre invite you into a one-night-only celebration of Black film: a live, on-stage reading of the legendary rom-com Boomerang. This performance blends live readings with moments from the film on the big screen with an abbreviated score and director narration for an experience that feels part screening, part theatre, part behind-the-scenes — and ALL fun. Executive produced by Jahshua Smith, directed by Eric Huffman, and co-produced by Jasmine Hamilton-Wray.

Doors open at 7:00 PM
Limited space available – please RSVP to reserve your spot (CCFF passholders included!)

Boomerang

A cocky ad executive, Marcus (Eddie Murphy) has a reputation as a ladies’ man. However, Marcus gets a taste of his own medicine when a merger finds him working under the beautiful Jacqueline (Robin Givens), who has a similarly cavalier attitude about romance. Marcus and Jacqueline become involved, but he is put off by her noncommittal approach to their relationship. Meanwhile, Marcus also begins to develop feelings for the pretty Angela (Halle Berry), who is more thoughtful than Jacqueline.
